General Rules Of Conduct And Discipline
The primary aim of the school is to give its pupils an education in keeping with
the culture and tradition of the country. They are trained to realize their responsibilities
and to develop a strong civic sense or spirit that will prepare them for leadership
in the society to which they belong. The greatest emphasis is placed on the knowledge
and love of God, the formation of a true moral conscience, appreciation of family
life and the service of their country.
- Enrolment in Loreto Convent, Entally implies on the part of the pupils and parents
a willingness to comply with the requirements and regulations of the school and
hostel.
- The Principal has the right to suspend or require the withdrawal of any pupil, whose
conduct, attendance or progress is not satisfactory or who, in her opinion, is not
benefiting from the advantages offered by the school.
- No pupil may leave the school premises without the permission of the Principal and
a Gate Pass. A special pass will be issued only at the written request of parents.
- Pupils are expected to behave in a courteous manner on all occasions. They should
address their teachers and all the members of the staff with due respect and politeness.
They should show gentleness and courtesy to their companions and co-students.
- Pupils are responsible for their own books, money etc., and are advised to keep
them in a locked bag or case. Nothing of a valuable nature should be brought to
school. All wilful damage to school property must be remedied at the cost of the
offender.
- No books, periodicals, pictures or newspapers shall be brought into the school or
circulated among the students without the permission of the Principal.
- Boarders and Day Scholars must perform such duties as may be allotted to them from
time to time as part of their normal education. No collection for any purpose whatsoever
may be made without the Principal's previous sanction.
- Buying eatables from street vendors is forbidden especially at the entrance of the
school gate.
- No mobile phones and electronic gadgets are permitted in the school premises.
- Since this is an English medium school, pupils are expected to speak in English
during school hours, as a help to their academic progress in the subject.
- Students are not permitted to give personal gifts to members of the staff. Junior
children are not permitted to give sweets on their birthdays. Junior children may
wear birthday clothes on their birthdays.
- Private tuition for children by any staff member is strictly forbidden.
- It is compulsory for the school. Identity Card to be carried by each student for
her own security.
