Loreto NGO celebrates 10 years with the United Nations was held on 27th June,2014 hosted by Loreto Convent Entally, Kolkata.
JPIC makes a clarion call Women & Children take your place in the sun. Sr. Anita Braganza & Principals of other Loreto Schools were
invited. Ms. Sudha Pillai gave welcome speech.Loreto Bowbazar did the Prayer Service praised & honored God for JPIC'S 10 years with
the United Nations. Reena Majumdar JPIC Coordinator eradicating injustice and promoting peace seen the need for Global connect and
global face. JPIC formed by Sr. Monica Alfonso 1997 alongwith a few teachers, A panel of judges were invited for the discussion of
trafficking, drugs, rape, crime & criminals & they are Sr. Cyril (IBVM), Sr. Monica Suchiang (IBVM), Ms. Alaka Nanda Roy (Dancer),
Mr.Amit Chatterjee (Narcotic Cell), Ms. Devankshi Kothari (Teacher in Loreto House), Mr. Buddha Dev (Student of St. Joseph's School)
& Ms. Mongrella (Moderator) . A cultural Programme was organized by all Loreto Schools. Birth of the Girl Child was celebrated by
Loreto House. The darker side of Women’s lives was organized by Loreto Dharmatalla. Discrimination among Girl Child and Boy Child was shown by Loreto Sealdah & Loreto Entally has shown that women has every right & has won. The programme concluded with the song "JAI HO".
JPI C-Special Assembly on 11th July, 2014. Students brought out the importance of preserving nature, and offered prayers to God to protect our Mother Earth. Children were reminded of their obligation to conserve nature. Juniors sang beautifully-"Sundorboner Sundar gaach". The Principal planted a sapling accompanied by JPIC class representatives Sisters and Teachers.
JPIC representatives Anusree Bhowmick and Ankita Som attended a meeting at Loreto House along with Ms. D. Saha and Ms. S. Biswas. Sr. Anita Braganza & Sr. Monica Suchiang were present at the meeting.
The students of Class 6 to Class 12 participated making JPIC Logo in class. They were given 20 min to make a logo.
On 14th March, 2015 JPIC organized selling of ice-creams to students. 290 ice-creams were sold.
